Hole Park

I fancied a Day out at Hole Park, just near Rolvenden in Kent. I wished the sun was out, but it decided to spit with rain and quite windy. The Garden is very nicely and reasonably priced at £7.50 with free car parking.

The man at the front of the house was quite chatty with the tickets and even gave me a map. There was only a few cars and one coach, but not many people around and no screaming kids, I just followed the yellow arrows and wasn't quite sure if you could walk on the grass, but I did spot other visitors on the lawn, so I thought it to be OK, I didn't want to get told off by the gardeners. It's a bit early in the year for the garden and I had just missed the flowering Wisteria, but the Azalea's are in good bloom.

I will have to go back there in the summer when the garden is in full bloom, it must also be lovely in Autumn when the trees change colour, especially their collection of Japanese Maples in the woodland area. I did have to check out the amenities and the ladies was very tidy and clean, there was also a tearoom, but I didn't have time to have a coffee or even check out the Plant Sale.

It was a very pleasant day out, even chatting to a few visitors over the Wisteria was quite fun, I can highly recommend Hole Park for a day out. http://www.holepark.com/ Check which day you want to go via their website.
