Welcome to Julie's World

Welcome to my blog, a little window into my adventures as Julie! Below, you'll find a few glimpses of places I've explored over the years, some of which I've revisited to experience their unique charm across different seasons. My philosophy is simple: embrace your feminine side and dress the part, and the world is open to you. The effort you put in truly affects how you feel and how you are perceived.

Taking that first step can feel the most daunting, but trust me, it gets easier with each outing. It's taken me over forty years to reach this point of comfortable self-expression, so I encourage you not to wait – life is precious, and it's worth taking a chance on yourself. While some might speculate about whether I'm transgender, I'm happy to say I've never encountered negativity. I've even been flirted with a few times, but that's just part of the human experience!

Julie xx

Neverland Christmas at Leeds Castle

It's that time of year again for Christmas at Leeds Castle, being a Sunday it was quite busy, especially full of children. This year, the theme is JM Barrie’s Peter Pan for a Christmas adventure, you can meet the charters, as the leading charters give performances of the story. In effect, it's causing a problem with queuing! Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining!

Predator: Badlands

My plans for tomorrow got a spontaneous rewrite today when, while out shopping, I found myself passing the cinema. Though I'd originally intended to catch Predator: Badlands later, the opportunity was too good to pass up, despite the mixed reviews I'd encountered. As a long-time fan of the Alien and Predator franchises – even forgiving some of the more 'borderline' later entries – I knew the only way to truly gauge its worth was to see it for myself.

Leeds Castle Firework Display

For years, Leeds Castle had been a familiar haunt, a place of tranquil gardens and historic grandeur. Yet, somehow, the legendary fireworks display remained an elusive spectacle on my mental checklist. “One day,” I'd always thought, until the realisation dawned that “one day” often became “never.” This year, with fewer grand displays lighting up the autumn sky, the decision was made: today was the day.

Ann Summers

Ann Summers had always occupied an intriguing yet slightly intimidating space in my imagination. The name conjured stereotypical visions of a dimly lit, secretive adult shop—a place where one entered and progressively descended into a murky world of shadows and whispered transactions. This expectation, however, made the reality of my recent visit all the more delightful. I had decided to treat myself to a beautiful new lingerie set, a genuine self-indulgence intended to elevate my small collection of nice items.

Happy Halloween!

Even for those who aren't typically Halloween enthusiasts, the spooky season often provides the perfect excuse to dive headfirst into party mode. It's a night where a few friends, dressed in their ghoulish best, gather for an evening of revelry or hiding behind the sofa, watching a horror movie. The night inevitably unfolds with a round of shots — a decision often regretted by morning — that is, if the drinks don't run out first, followed swiftly by the snacks. But there's always the fallback of a late-night takeaway to save the day.

Brandy B's 4th Anniversary

Brandy B's fourth anniversary was an absolute triumph, striking the perfect balance between a relaxed atmosphere and vibrant social interaction, making it an ideal haven for us girls. The theme was the Raging 1920s. I was excited, as I had acquired my dress and matching accessories, including 1920s-style shoes, which I believe were actual dance shoes due to their sole and clasp.

Shop until you drop!

I thought I would update you, having some massive bills to pay, car repairs (£900) and electric (£450) which impacts on spending for Julie, as in not buying stuff and going out. And the (£180) for the holiday, so I have to be a bit frugal on spending.
