Brighton Racecourse

This is my first time to a Horse racecourse and did I win, NO!

Well winning isn't everything, it's the taking part that counts and a chance to get dolled up at Brighton Horse Racecourse Ladies Day, and put on your best dress on and heels!

The day out was organised by Cindi, through Brandy B, with a coach getting us there, we were not the only group of transgender there. The weather started off good but soon turned in to rain and a strong wind, not good for a fascinator, next time will go with the clip version and a jacket.

Now horse racing! I know what a horse is but not a clue about betting, betting is down to you! Even the more experienced betters got it wrong! Remember to set a budget and stick to it, I lost a £10 on two races, my horses came second to last and second in the two races. At least they finished in the right direction!

You can bet online beforehand or use a betting stand, they take cards. The drinks are the usual price at events, and a bowl of chips was £5, and you can buy an upgraded ticket with includes a pie and drink at a special price.

The ticket and coach hire was £50 which included shacks and drinks, you do need a steady hand on the coach when pouring drinks and the roads are a bit bumpy!

When arriving back at Brandy B a takeaway's was organised and some had the option of staying the night at Brandy B at a small cost or to stay at a local hotel if they wished. Thank you to Brandy and David for letting us crash back at theirs, as being in heels all day can be a killer! Thank you to Cindi for organising the event, also thank you to the ladies in the group, all looking fabulous!

Would I do it again, yes, providing the weather was good!

I have uploaded a few more pictures on my Flickr page, so go and have a look. Click Here.
