Motors by the moat

Leeds Castle was holding its annual event - Motors by the moat. I have been meaning to go for ages, and the weather was good for a change. There were many cars there: army, classic, the Ghostbuster's car, motorbikes, and many more, including a jet ski display and a stunt car display. It was a good day out, the price was included in the year pass and free parking.

Went to get there early, there were queues getting in, many tried to push in, if I had known about the overflow car park (a field) I would have gone another way.

I did notice when walking around, hearing mainly from women “What a lovely colour!” so you don't have to be a “Petrol head” to have a day out at the event, there were many food places, or you could order for a picnic box, I think it was around £25.

There were a few Aston Martins, no DB12 tho, I do have a soft spot for the pretty Alpha Romeo spider, has to be the boat tail, in red! And my pin-up poster car, the Lamborghini Countach, original, would have loved to of seen the new 2023 version, I love the three facts about the tail, 1. the cost was around £5000 to buy it. 2. It was fitted in the Lamborghini car park, not part of the original design. 3. It doesn't work! It's not aero dynamic! Only Lamborghini.

I did find that if they had a show on, it would attract crowds, much easier to get around the cars, and the food? Take your own, it's cheaper.

I could go on chatting about it, this event, go and see for yourselves!

I have uploaded a few more pictures on my Flickr page, so go and have a look. Click Here.

Is funny how we girls care about the colour of a car, isnt it? I always wanted a little 60s Sunbeam Alpine, but it must be in pale blue. I imagine myself driving along the corniche on the Cote d'Azur in it wearing sunglasses and with a silk scarf tied over my hair. xxx
