Leeds Castle - Festival of Flowers 2018

As the weather was fine I thought I would go and see the Leeds Castle - Festival of Flowers which opened yesterday, any excuse to get out and explore is good enough for me. So when I arrived it was quite busy, there was a flower show on, and it was Sunday! Having a yearly ticket, I didn't have to queue and was just held up by the newbies with temporary passes and wondering where to go.

I headed straight for the Castle to beat the large crowds snapping away. Like all these things people get in the way when trying to focus a camera, I had to wait as they were letting a few people at a time in, but once in I just headed for the flower displays which are quite amazing, but a few plants were passed their prime so try to remember to go on the first day, I don't know if they get replaced or new flowers added but by the end of the week they would be all dead otherwise.

I went to check out the stalls, nothing I wanted but to have a good old noise around, there was a flower arranging demonstration by Dennis Kneepkens (All I know he is from the Netherlands).

I am sure he is very good, my idea of flower arranging it to stick the flowers in a vase without losing all the petals.

As I walk around a woman in front of me asked her friend if they did weddings there, she said the flower arrangements would look good at a wedding, I didn't have the heart to tell her the flowers would cost the same as the Castle! If they need a bride, I am sure I could offer my services as a stand-in, you know, just for pictures, etc...

There was a good smell of Fried food coming from the Mediterranean Grill, but I had to think about my waistline, I am surprised at Leeds Castle they don't have traffic control as planes cross the skies every second, managed to get a picture of a Spitfire, Hurricane and a De Havilland Devon (Had to look that one up) also buzzed by a Japanese's zero and a biplane (Possibly a Tiger moth), as Headcorn aerodrome is not very far I guess that is where they are all coming from.

I decided to wear false nails today and surprised one hasn't pinged off as they usually do, knowing my luck it would have been eaten by a swan and shorty choked to death, what is the punishment for that? Do they still send you to the Tower of London! I still have them all, for now, typing in nails is a new experience, sorry for any spelling mistakes, but they do look good!
