Merriments Gardens in October 2019

Where has the time gone? Now it's October! The nights are drawing in, and the children have gone back to school and the girls have their tights on, so that is the signal that tights are acceptable, especially when getting colder. So today I went back to Merriments Gardens, most have been last August 2018 went I went last, they have finished off the garden.

With all the wet weather I thought it might not be open, but it was, the grasses all golden brown waving in the wind and the Autumn colours starting to appear on the plants and trees. As I was walking around there was a lady sitting in the bench, she said to me about my photography and remarked on the  uni-tripod, I sat down beside her and said it was lightweight and easy to carry around in my bag. We chatted for a while about taking pictures and gardening. Then I made my way to look around the garden, then I thought I should have taken a selfie with her, but the moment had passed.

There were only a few people walking around, I think actually there were more gardeners than visitors. They have a bird hide where you can sit and watch the bird feeding, I saw nothing exotic, just blue tits, great tits and chaffinch. I was nice to be able to relax with the sun shining and being Julie.

There are a few good seating areas, so you can find a quiet spot and relax.

As I walked to near the end I decided to go around again just encase you missed anything the first time around, I don't know what the gardeners thought, maybe there garden being in a high-end glossy magazine but in realty being in my blog, they say any advertising is better than no advertising.

When I finished Merriment garden I was feeling hungry, so I stopped off at my favourite Fish and Chip shop and got a jumbo sausage and chips, and ate them in the car park before driving home, actually stopping off at Matalan as they had a sale on, and I wanted to try on some shoes, but that is a different story.
