Walking in winter at Leeds Castle 2020

I can't believe it's February already!, the other challenge is finding somewhere to go as a lot of places are still closed and won't be open until April, which is no use for me now. I decided to have a Winter walk and blow the cobwebs away around Leeds Castle, been many times before and some might think I'm almost staff.

The staff have always been curious to me if they know or not, I don't care, I'm not doing any harm, and I'm just another customer. There were a few people around but enjoyable to do what you want to do, I always feel sorry for the wildlife they always look so hungry, I think they have mastered this ploy very well as Leeds Castle does actually feed them anyway. I don't know when you can start feeding them by hand, as you can buy a small bag of food for them.

I did the usual route, so I can get the best photography without being interrupted by tourists or fear they will run off with my camera. Chasing a tourist in heels is a non-starter. Went pass the children's play area, NEVER take any pictures of children without the parents/guardians content and if you have a child in the background I always blur or pixelate the face. I did come across a load of school children and their teacher having a play march around the garden, I could only watch.

I had a quick go around the Maze, still manage to get it wrong, but got there in the end. They have a crazy golf area now and no-one was playing, so I felt a bit awkward playing on my own plus it was a bit cold, they have put the rules of playing on the wall, I think everyone knows how to play, I think I would be safe with my inch and 1/2 high heels on, and they are not pointy! Is doesn't say that you can't keep on going around until you get bored to death.

I had a quick walk through the Castle, there was a large group of Italians on hot pursuit, like any tourists they just walk through it without understanding or even look at the paintings, to them, it's a day out from school. Some usual rooms were closed which made it even shorter walk, so I decided to be lazy on the way back and catch the land-train which was quite bumpy but made it even shorter, had a quick look around the gift shop, still had some Christmas wine, decorations etc... The prices are very expensive still and if you could afford a castle then you might be able to afford the prices.

After the Castle, I headed off to the Garden centre to see what they had to offer. The answer was not a lot, still had my furry hat on a sale, from £15 to £11.45, was tempting, but I did know the woman at the checkout, so I could take that chance, I don't think she would recognise me, but she still knows my family and could mention to them that she had seen me shopping at the garden centre dressed as a woman. I would have to do some explaining.

On the way back home I dropped in to Aldi to get some Alska which is the only place to get it now, if you don't know what it is, it's a Swedish Cider a bit like Kopparberg but is better, I think so! There is the usual 3 till open with long queues, I had no option but to join a queue which a man was doing a monthly shop! When I finally got to my turn, the check-out girl was sweet by calling me "Sweetie" which was kind, then I went home.
