It's the time to go shopping, well ideas anyway and any excuse to go shopping is a must. I have to apologize that the photos are from the phone from the selfie side, which is not a high resolution camera and add that with the lighting and the lack of technology which you would find on a compact camera. It's more of a snap and go!
It was nice to go out as Julie, so I went around Maidstone, popping into shops and having a good nose around the shelves and see if there were any bargains to have. I can't say if I have spotted anything new that was the same as last year. As I was shopping in Asda I decided to take the lift being lazy, the doors closed, and I pushed the button, there was a jolt and all the lights lit up, and I was stuck. I pushed the emergency button for three seconds and a bell rang, but there was no answer to say if I was OK. After a few jolts later, which must have been all of five minutes, but it seamed a lot longer.
The doors eventually opened, and I got out as soon as I could, as I was walking away and a member of staff rushed by me but said nothing.
I continued shopping and went to the next store, I didn't have much time to hang around as the shops were starting to close, near Christmas they will open for longer but getting what you want is a different thing.
Overall It was a recognisance mission as to find as many things as I could as I was waiting for payday next week. There are still quite a few shops that are empty and people begging on the street, they were asking if I had any change, I think they would prefer to have a hot cup of tea as the temperature was getting colder. They would be better off if they brought back the Work housed, not to the same level of Victorian England, but they would have to work to get a bed for the night and some food. There are plenty of empty shops around.
This will be the first of many trips to go shopping, if you can leave a shop without anything it's good, I just need to get what I want. I remember when I first started shopping dressed, I would basically buy anything. I think the first thing was a pair of tights, I think I actually got the wrong size, but the chances of me returning them and slim to none.
