Summer time

It's been such a long time getting out, I had forgotten how long it takes to get ready, almost took me an hour just shaving and not just my face. So Julie VS the big wide World, I
thought it would be best to visit a place I knew well, which is Leeds Castle and I have a
year
pass so might as well use it

Wasn't sure about the weather, the day was before was the hottest so far hitting 30C, trust me, you just melt with a wig and make-up on. It was bad enough today as how much deodorant you use and still feel sweaty.

I did the usual walk around, the garden seems to be a month behind due to the Spring being late as the wisteria is just finishing in the garden.

The smell of the roses hit you at every corner, love that smell. On the Leeds Castle website the book availability said it was excellent availability, but it was quite busy which was a surprise.

It was a good it gets out and have the freedom to be Julie. The Castle was open to have
a wonder around, but I didn't because wearing a mask would eventually remove my make-up and would have to redo it, which was in the car.

On the way back, I decided to pop into a shop, for a dress I wanted to check out, always looks good on a model but in reality doesn't always look good when trying it on or holding it up in front of yourself in front of a mirror. I firstly forgot to have a mask when I walked to the shop, forgot I haven't got any pockets, so had to go back to the car a get one.

Finally got into the shop again! I took the opportunity to go through nearly all the skirts and dresses, The dress I had in mind I wasn't sure about when I actually found it as it was a patchwork and brownish, more suitable for autumn and didn't have my size. I did find another summer dress and in my size! If I had the money, I could spend a fortune in that shop. The dress was £35, but it was good quality and should last.

As I was going back and forth to admire the items of clothing the shop assistant came over and said "we don't have a fitting room, but I would be welcome to try on the items by putting them over my clothes in the shop" I replied "I am feeling sweaty, and I would have trouble getting them off again" plus I didn't want my wig to come off, that would be embarrassing!

After paying, I had to confirm the way out with the shop assistant, as most shops are mazes and most confusing. Can't wait to stop wearing a mask and stop going around and around in shops!

So, I had a good day out, and I need more of them, but no too hot!
