Well decided to brave the heat, before the rain again, thank god for air conditioning in my car or my face would be on the floor! It that hot, I felt like a badgers' armpit! Don't ask me, but I can imagine that. Anyway, I visited Great Comp, not the first time, still lovely! Recommend it to anyone, you don't have to be a gardener to have a nose around!
When arrived about 10:30 only a few cars in the car park, so plenty of spaces! Yeah! Greeted by Gemma in the Ticket office, I did ask if I needed to wear a face mask in the restaurant, not compulsory, but I could if I wanted to. You just have to ask! There was a Coach party turned up and had a guided tour, if you wanted too you could have tagged along in the background.
I have been before, so I knew what to expect and where to go! Very useful, there is a map for newbie's so don't worry, hard to get lost. Tried to find all the best spots to take pics, It's quite hard with gardeners and visitors getting in to the shot.
I took my time as it was so hot, tempted to jump in the pond to cool down, resisted! Plenty of seats in strategic places.
Some of you might have noticed I have gone a bit blonde, I think it's the Sweed in me, Swedish blood not the veg, there is Kristoff in Frozen, but that's a different story! Anyway, if you want a great day out, try Great Comp! The Car park was packed when I left, but there is an overflow car park. Don't forget the SUN CREAM!
