Autumn Walk at Leeds Castle

Autumn Walk at Leeds Castle

Managed to get out as Julie, a walk at Leeds Castle, taking in the changes colours of the trees, gardens, and the light. It's not as cold as it should be, being October, so I could wear a thinner skirt, which was decorated in leaves. I was expecting a lot more colours, a head frost will push things along. Perhaps when Halloween is here in a few weeks there might be more colours.

It wasn't very busy, which was nice, the lady at the entrance was nice and cheery. I had a slow walk around the grounds, saw the crazy golf not busy either, decided to have a go.

There were little signs to give instruction, I just hit the ball in the right direction and crossed my fingers. Can't remember the last time I had a go at crazy golf, haven't improved much!

There was a couple in front which was OK, so I could play the holes a few times over, the first attempt was laughable as I hit the nice pink golf ball just a few feet, then it rolled back to my feet.

I did manage to get a hole-in-one, there was no one there, so you will have to take my word for it. It was only £2.50 for one adult. The last hole was difficult, managed it on the second attempt, one you have potted the ball, it's gone, it keeps the ball.

By this time I was hungry so decided to get a Tuna and Mayo sandwich and a hot chocolate, it was nice but very expensive, £7.50, I was hungry so agreed to pay. Found a little spot in Lady Baillie garden to enjoy the sandwich without the attack of the birds! Something out of Alfred Hitchcock!

As the Castle walk came to an end, I decided to take the opportunity to go shopping, a look around garden centres and a few shops. Had a good rummage through the stuff on sale, but nothing in my size, better luck next time.
