Botanical Sculptures at Leeds Castle 2021

A new outdoor sculpture exhibition will be in bloom at Leeds Castle this autumn. See the beautiful estate at “the loveliest Castle in the world” transformed into a stunning outdoor gallery inspired by flowers, plants and gardens. Visitors will be able to spot over 30 floral inspired sculptures, placed sympathetically within the gardens and grounds of the historic Castle.

I had a quick visit today, not all the displays are out, the Castle was quite busy. The parents having a day out before the children go back to school. One or two children took exception to the Sculptures as play objects, the mother said she is only five and can not read the sign, that's a poor excuse as you are meant to look after them!

There were another two with play swords beating up the gunnera (looks like giant rhubarb, it doesn't taste like rhubarb) I haven't tried it!

I also had a quick whizz (When I say whizz as in fast walking, not the other!) around the castle, still wanted me to put a mast on, it just rubs off my makeup, to after that I had to dash to the ladies and reapply my face.

Then I went shopping for the afternoon in Maidstone, looking for a replacement black skirt as the zipper leaver had come off, it's actually quite hard as there is quite a lot of summer clothes around and not much Autumn stuff yet. Also get some more makeup in Superdrug. Never did find a replacement skirt, will try again later, good excuse to go out again.
