The sun did shine, for a while, a welcome change after days of grey. It was good to see the ladies again; life had been a whirlwind of commitments lately, stealing away precious time for connection.
The familiar smiles and easy chatter were a balm to the soul. Though the group wasn't quite complete, a few familiar faces missing due to prior arrangements or unfortunate illnesses, the warmth of companionship still filled the air.

It was wonderful catching up with everyone at Brandy event! We certainly indulged, and I'm still dreaming about those delicious South African sausages – thanks, Cindi, for hosting a BBQ and filling our plates! And a big shoutout to Nicola for keeping us well-hydrated with the drinks. Brandy was a fantastic host, as always, keeping the conversation flowing with her interesting stories.
I ended up giving David a send-off at 3am with Brandy, as she wanted to see him off! I didn't crawl into bed until 4am, so Sunday was definitely a much-needed day for sleep. Richard did a great job capturing the fun with his photos, especially our slightly precarious attempts to test out the new garden setter. Thankfully, we managed to avoid disaster despite our full stomachs with the extra weight! All in all, it was a fantastic time with great company.
I'm eagerly anticipating Brandy's 4th Anniversary, especially with its dazzling Great Gatsby theme! The event kicks off at 2pm, and while the suggested attire is a summer dress for garden games, I've taken a slight detour with a 1950s-inspired number. Fingers crossed it arrives on time and the fit is perfect – online sizing can be a bit of a gamble!
Later in the evening, the real fun begins as we transform wearing our flapper dress, complete with all the glitz and glam of the 1920s. Think feathers, fringes, and period-perfect shoes with sparkle! We'll be dancing the night away until 11pm, though knowing us, we have a habit of crashing out by then. I truly hope you can make it and join in the roaring good time!
