Spring is in the air! It was up to 16° which is probably the highest so far. Its so nice to see the bright yellow daffodils in the sun, especally after a grey wet winter.
First of all I went shopping to Klass, then onto Bonmarché, and finished in Edinburgh woollen Mill, I did see a few things I liked but resisted. Stopped off at the Tesco petrol station to fill up. Then went to Leeds Castle, as I'm on a diet the exercise would do me good.
I found a quiet spot, and drank my hot chocolate while taking up the sun!
I was feeling peckish, so I went to a local garden centre, they are changing hands so the menu is a bit differnt, I ordered a ham sandwich which came with fries, and coleslaw. A Latte coffee to wash it down. It was over priced and the bread was adverage and dry. Bit of a disappointment.Afterwards I went back to Maidetone for a bit more shopping at the Range, TKmax and Asda, I get a few bits and went home.
Also Leeds Castle has an AI avatar! of Queen Eleanor (1241 – 1290), which you can interact with, well like all new technology she a bit not responsive. There is a sentance at the base of the screen "welcome your majesty" (something along those lines) to prompt her into action. So me and the guide eneded up taking it in turns at different levels of voice trying to get a responce out of her, which we dident!
So Queen Eleanor just stands there, I said " Perhaps she is not amused!" which I followed with "Off with her head!" thats technology for you, I am sure the next time she might be an bit more interactive.
Just a dayout, a viste to Ashford and Tenterden.
Well in Ashford I went to Dobbies garden centre, for breakfast and a latte.
The prices are fair, you can get a discount card but you will have to pay £15, so to make it viable you will have to go regulary. I did have a look at a lot of things but resisted to tempation (spending a lot of money).
Afterwards I drove to Tenterden, I heard the designer outlet was closing down, I had a look, again being a size 14/16 the clothes were other sizes. I also went to Waitrose for a quick food shop. Then went to Tenterden garden centre for a latte and a look around.
