Nails

I have been trying to grow my nails for ages, got fed up with looking at disgusting nails! Bitten and chewed. I find if they look bad, then I will attack them. So if they are looking great then I will leave them alone, that's in theory.

So I decided to get a manicure yesterday, went around a few nail bars and found one not that busy, went in and asked for a manicure, I was expected the girl behind the counter to say “fully booked” as they do, but no I was told to take a seat, for a manicure was £18, might be a bit steep, but I needed a manicure!

There was a lovely woman next to me having her nails dipped, I was quite interested as I haven't seen it done before. We chatted about bitten nails and her son does the same, She asked me why did I bite them, I could give a direct answer, boredom, shy, stress, trans (not sure about that one!), etc… You don't realize you bite them, and you get use to it as a bad habit.

It was nice seeing your OK nails being turned in to something looking like a proper nail. I have to confess, I thought my nails at the end were better than the lady next to me! The beautician finished off with a clear varnish, when I got home I varnished over with a neutral colour and top clear coat.

Will be doing it again.
